Forsaken

Through the madness we search but we can only find

That through out our lives we’ve been robbed blind,

We search for an answer, a story, a belief

Anything to help us, to find some relief,

But I see it all as it wasn’t meant to be

The Truth behind the lie, no one is free.

As the world is controlled one person at a time

Evil yours becomes evil mine,

The kindness and wonder of this world has long since died

These voices in my head suggest a less than peaceful side,

‘Friendship and loyalty is no match for power’

They’ll choke on those words in their darkest hour,

It’s the beginning of the end, our final curtain call

As we remain dammed, forsaken, left to fall.

A lonely night waiting at the bus stop

A lonely night waiting at the bus stop

Waiting for Christmas…

Waiting for Christmas…

1 note

Ever Changing

Staring at the carnage another heart is lost

Shattered, torn, as cold as the frost,

The destruction of another that no one could see

The price has now been paid, a soul lost to sea,

Emotions gone, turned off like a faucet

A decimated life, filled with regret,

A single word is spoken, echoing through the mind

It doesn’t change a thing, they are left tattered and blind,

No more struggling in a world so cold

No more pain with lives growing old,

This fight has gone on for far too long

It seems impossible to win, no matter how strong…

But I’ll still be here, through thick and thin

No matter what happens, no matter what sin,

Times can be tough, times can be cruel

But times keep changing, that’s the simple rule

Keep that in mind and face another day

It may be bleak, it may be grey,

But go for it anyway otherwise you’ll never know

What chances may have been or what chances you’ve let go.
